Borussia Dortmund plays in front of the largest terrace in European football — the Sudtribune, the Yellow Wall, holding nearly 25,000 standing supporters, and the atmosphere it generates is the reason neutral fans travel to Signal Iduna Park.

The Borusseum sits in the northeast corner of the stadium and covers the club from its 1909 founding by young men whose local priest disapproved of football, through the industrial Ruhr context — this is a club of a coal and steel city, and its identity is bound to that — the European Cup of 1997, the near-bankruptcy of the mid-2000s, and the Klopp era.

Fan culture gets substantial attention, which is appropriate given it is the club's defining asset.

Stadium tours run alongside and take in the dressing rooms, the tunnel and the Sudtribune itself, which is worth seeing empty for the sheer scale.
