The Malta Classic Car Collection in Qawra holds several hundred restored cars and motorcycles, and it is a private collection assembled over decades rather than an institutional one — which shows in the range, the personal arrangement and the accompanying period material.

Malta's specific automotive history gives the collection local texture: British rule until 1964 left the island driving on the left with a heavy preponderance of British marques, and Maltese buses, ornately decorated and kept running far beyond their expected lives, became a national emblem before the fleet was replaced in 2011.
