The Detroit branch holds over 50 exhibits and sits within the city's continuing downtown revival — an area that emptied out over decades and has been progressively reoccupied since the 2013 bankruptcy, with new attractions opening in restored buildings.

The exhibits follow the established format: rooms engineered so perspective defeats expectation, mirrored infinity chambers, a rotating tunnel, holograms and installations designed around a single correct viewing point, each with an explanation of the perceptual mechanism involved.
