The Museu Oscar Niemeyer (MON) in Curitiba, Brazil, is the largest art museum in Latin America, housing approximately 14,000 artworks across 35,000 square meters, including visual arts, architecture, and design.

The Museu Oscar Niemeyer is known locally as the Museu do Olho — the Eye Museum — because of the extension Niemeyer added in 2002 at the age of 94: a huge eye-shaped structure raised on a yellow pillar above a reflecting pool, connected to the original 1967 building by an underground tunnel.
At 35,000 square metres it is the largest art museum in Latin America, with around 14,000 works covering Brazilian and international visual arts, architecture and design, plus Asian and African collections.
Niemeyer's own architectural drawings and models form a permanent display, which makes the building both container and content.
Curitiba is known for urban planning — its bus rapid transit system was widely copied — and the museum belongs to that civic tradition.
