Madame Tussauds Hong Kong opened in 2000 at the Peak Tower, and its location is a substantial part of the proposition: the Peak Tram climbs Victoria Peak to one of the most photographed views in Asia, and the museum sits within the complex at the top.

Over 100 figures cover international and, importantly, Asian celebrity — Hong Kong and mainland Chinese film stars, Cantopop singers, and regional sporting figures alongside the Western names, which gives it a different character from the London or New York branches. Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Anita Mui carry particular local weight.

Interactive zones let visitors participate rather than only pose.
