Planning your visit
Opened in 2021, Pressoria is the newest of the Champagne region's visitor attractions and the most deliberately experiential — an interactive centre in a converted press house at Aÿ, built around sensory exploration rather than display cases.
Rooms address the region's history, the vineyard year, the chalk geology, and the vocabulary of tasting, using scent stations, projection and sound to make the technical content approachable for visitors who are not already wine specialists.
The Champagne vineyards were inscribed by UNESCO in 2015, covering the hillsides, houses and cellars, and Aÿ is at the heart of the listed area.
Bollinger, Deutz and Ayala all have their houses in the village, and combining a museum visit with a producer tour is the natural way to spend a day.
