This museum in Medina presents the biography of the Prophet Muhammad and the history of Islamic civilisation through contemporary interactive methods rather than traditional artefact display — models, dioramas, projections, reconstructions and multilingual audiovisual material, opened in 2021 as part of Saudi Arabia's expansion of facilities for pilgrims.

Medina is where the Prophet migrated in 622, established the first Muslim community, and is buried, so the biography is presented in the city where much of it happened. The exhibitions cover his life chronologically, the early community, the expansion of Islam, and the scientific, architectural and scholarly achievements of Islamic civilisation across subsequent centuries.

Reconstructions include models of the Prophet's Mosque at various historical stages, which is useful given how completely the present enormous structure has replaced earlier fabric.

The audience is primarily pilgrims performing Hajj or Umrah, and access to Medina's central area is restricted to Muslims. Allow ninety minutes. The main booking is an entrance ticket. Current availability is listed below.
