Akureyri Museum

Located in Akureyri’s historic center, the Akureyri Museum offers exhibitions that delve into the town’s past, featuring artifacts from the Viking era to modern times. The museum’s garden, surrounding a 19th-century church, provides a serene spot for visitors. A single ticket grants access to five museums, including the Toy Museum and the Industrial Museum, enriching the cultural experience. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00 from June 1 to September 30, and from 13:00 to 16:00 from October 1 to May 31.

Akureyri Museum covers the history of Iceland's northern capital — a town of under twenty thousand people that functions as the hub for the whole north of the country.
