Belgian Beer World occupies the Bourse, the nineteenth-century stock exchange building in the middle of Brussels that stood empty for years and reopened in 2023 after restoration — the building alone, with its sculpted facade and grand interiors, is a substantial part of the attraction.

Belgian beer culture is UNESCO-listed intangible heritage, and the exhibition covers what that means: the range of styles found nowhere else — lambic and gueuze fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts from the Zenne valley air, Trappist ales brewed in monasteries, saisons, witbier — the brewing process, the glassware, and the social role of the cafe.

The route is technology-led, with a personalised tasting profile determining which beer you are served on the rooftop terrace at the end, which overlooks the city centre.

Roman archaeological remains beneath the building are visitable separately.
