The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto is Canada’s largest museum, housing 18 million artworks, artifacts, and specimens from around the world and across the ages.

The ROM is Canada's largest museum with around 18 million objects, and it is divided almost equally between natural history and world cultures — dinosaurs and minerals on one side, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Indigenous collections on the other.
The Chinese holdings are the most significant outside Asia in several categories, including a Ming tomb complex and monumental Buddhist wall paintings. The dinosaur galleries hold substantial Alberta material.
The building divides opinion sharply. Daniel Libeskind's Crystal, added in 2007, drives angular aluminium and glass prisms out through the facade of the original 1914 building, and Toronto has argued about it ever since.
The Indigenous collections and their interpretation have been substantially revised in recent years in collaboration with First Nations.
