The Museum of Illusions franchise runs on well-established perceptual science, and the Valencia branch has over 60 exhibits: the Ames room where people appear to change size crossing the floor, the rotated room that defeats the balance system, the vortex tunnel, infinity mirrors, holograms and anamorphic floors.
Each carries an explanation of the mechanism, which is what separates it from a pure photo venue — the exhibits demonstrate how vision and balance actually work by breaking them.
The puzzle room with mechanical and logic problems is included.
It works particularly well for families with school-age children and takes about an hour.
