Banksy has no involvement in it, does not authorise it, and the show consists largely of reproductions, prints, photographs and multimedia rather than original street works — which by their nature remain on walls in Bristol, London, Gaza and elsewhere, or have been removed and sold privately.

Within those limits it works as an introduction to his career and its themes: the Bristol origins, the stencil technique, the interventions in galleries and at the West Bank wall, the shredding of Girl with Balloon at auction, and the commercial contradictions the work sits inside.

Visitors expecting authenticated originals will be disappointed; those wanting an accessible survey of a body of work that is otherwise scattered across the world will get value from it.
