Paradox Museum Barcelona opened in 2024 with over 70 installations built around perception, physics and mirrors — rooms that appear to defy gravity, a tilted chamber where water seems to run uphill, an anti-gravity room, infinity mirrors and exhibits that make visitors appear to shrink, float or stand on the ceiling.

Each has a marked camera position, and staff explain the principle behind the effect and help with the photograph, which distinguishes the format slightly from purely self-guided illusion venues.

Barcelona has an unusual concentration of these attractions in the centre — several illusion and interactive venues within a few streets — so comparing what each includes is worthwhile, and combination tickets covering more than one exist.

A visit takes about an hour, works best with a group, and is a reliable indoor option in a city where summer heat and occasional rain both disrupt outdoor plans.
