Tekniska museet holds Sweden's national collection of technology and industry, and Sweden's contribution is larger than the country's size implies — the ball bearing, the adjustable spanner, the safety match, the three-point seatbelt, the pacemaker, dynamite and the separator that founded a global dairy industry all originated here.
The collection covers that alongside mining, forestry, telecommunications, computing and transport, with a substantial machinery hall.
Wisdome Stockholm, added in recent years, is a wooden dome housing a 3D visualisation theatre used for immersive science presentations, and the building itself is an engineering demonstration — a large-span structure in cross-laminated timber.
MegaMind is the interactive gallery aimed at children, covering how thinking and creativity work.
