Spritmuseum is an interactive museum on Djurgården in Stockholm, focusing on Swedish drinking culture, art, and history. It houses the internationally renowned Absolut Art Collection.

Spritmuseum covers Swedish drinking culture, which is a more interesting subject than it sounds — Sweden had one of Europe's most severe alcohol problems in the nineteenth century, responded with rationing books and a state monopoly that still controls retail sales, and the resulting relationship with drink shapes social behaviour to this day.

The museum covers that history, along with the traditions: the snaps songs sung before each drink at a crayfish party, the seasonal rituals, and the aquavit that accompanies them.

The Absolut Art Collection is the second half and is genuinely significant: the vodka brand commissioned artists from Warhol onward to reinterpret its bottle, and the resulting works — several hundred of them — constitute an unusual record of late twentieth-century art meeting advertising.
